Job Description: The digital content specialist will be responsible for developing the voice for all aspects of the organization’s online presence. In addition to writing, editing and proofreading site content, this person will also work closely with the technical team to maintain site standards with regard to new development. The digital content specialist will also be responsible for crafting and managing site promotions, email newsletters, and online outreach campaigns. Must have an eye for creating online content; online content deployment and planning; Must be able to manage and juggle multiple priorities. High level of initiative and ability to work with minimal supervision.


Qualifications: Exceptional communication and organizational skills; Traditional writing skills. Basic knowledge of HTML and experience with popular content management systems (WordPress Drupal, Convio, etc.); Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment; Basic Adobe Photoshop skills; Proven ability to build consensus and work effectively within a cross-departmental team; 1year experience managing content and production for high traffic websites; and multiple content channels (Hootsuite, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.).

Job Description:

A radio station manager oversees the administrative and business functions of a radio station or group of stations. While some specialize in administrative, financial, or technical responsibilities, some managers working at smaller stations may also have to fill on-air, programming, or engineering roles.


Radio station managers ensure the smooth daily operation. They manage the administrative, technical, program, and sales aspects of a station. General managers are accountable to station owners and senior management and strive to maintain the work environment, personality, and financial viability of the business.


On a day-to-day basis, a radio station manager must supervise and coordinate the schedules, workflow, and responsibilities of various departments. Hiring, training, and evaluating employees as well as providing communication between departments and other human resource functions are often handled by the general manager and designated staff.


Radio station managers are also responsible for the success and profitability of the station. They help determine and meet the financial goals of station owners. They often work with accountants and bookkeepers to track purchases, cash flow and profits, prepare budgets, and maintain accountability. The General Manager will participate in fund-raising events. Because most broadcast radio stations depend on the sale of advertising for income, station managers work closely with sales managers and advertising sales staff.

Station managers must have enough technical knowledge to understand the operation of all station equipment. They also ensure program and technical employees comply with local, state, and federal broadcasting regulations and other laws.
