Job Description: The digital content specialist will be responsible for developing the voice for all aspects of the organization’s online presence. In addition to writing, editing and proofreading site content, this person will also work closely with the technical team to maintain site standards with regard to new development. The digital content specialist will also be responsible for crafting and managing site promotions, email newsletters, and online outreach campaigns. Must have an eye for creating online content; online content deployment and planning; Must be able to manage and juggle multiple priorities. High level of initiative and ability to work with minimal supervision.
Qualifications: Exceptional communication and organizational skills; Traditional writing skills. Basic knowledge of HTML and experience with popular content management systems (WordPress Drupal, Convio, etc.); Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment; Basic Adobe Photoshop skills; Proven ability to build consensus and work effectively within a cross-departmental team; 1year experience managing content and production for high traffic websites; and multiple content channels (Hootsuite, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.).
Education: Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Business Marketing or a related field preferred but not required. Must have Passion, Integrity, and Energy
