Born Sam Fallie, in Memphis, TN. Sam’s family moved to Los Angeles when he was a small child. While living in Los Angeles, Sam discovered his passion for music. His family returned to Memphis TN when Sam was only 10 years old, by that time music was already in his SOUL. He joined his high school choir; it was there he realized his singing and writing abilities. After completing high school he began to form bands (Mellow Mystics, Naked Truth Band and Perfectionist) While performing with the group Perfectionist, Allen Jones, Producer and Manager for The Bar-Kays asked Sam to come aboard as a staff writer. Sam wrote several songs for the Bar-Kays including “What Goes On In Da Club Stays In Da Club” ft/ George Clinton, Holla If You Like That, My Everythang and Lets Git Bizzy. These were written under the name Sam Fallie.
Sam is also credited for writing I’m Just A Fool for J Blackfoot and Lenny Williams, Then later the remix for J Blackfoot and Sir Charles Jones. Sam wrote for several soul artists such as Archie Love, Theodis Ealey, Jerry L, Kenne Wayne, and Lacee
Sam Fallie, the writer, arrived on the scene as “Mr Sam”, with his first solo project, Lookin 4 Love. The title cut Lookin 4 Love was a smash! 12 Steps For Cheaters grew to be an even better success from that album
The next album Voicemail, with the title cut, Voicemail ft/Floyd Taylor was also a very successful single for Mr Sam. The single “Soul Singer” Mr Sam proclaims, he’s a SOUL SINGER, in the lyrics Mr Sam says, “I wanna play Apollo in New York City, do Memphis in May in Tennessee, play the 930 Blues Club in Jackson Mississippi, make sure the crowd remembers me” The crowd will surely remember “Mr Sam”. Mr Sam’s album Love Attack, besides his title cut, Love Attack, This album continues to give Mr Sam notoriety through- out the country. With songs like, What Kind Of Love is This, Long Good –Bye, Somebody, Heaven, & Nuthin But A Party.
